Bihar Bhawan New Delhi

Project Type

Designed Project

Date

February 2019

We envisioned a New Bihar Bhawan at Dwarka portraying a reflection of the historical Time of Bihar in a modern form that represents the State by boasting of its rich Architectural heritage.
In lieu of the extreme climate of Delhi, Buildings clad with Glass and steel are not suitable hence we designed this self-shading optimized undulating brick facade to reduce heat gain.

The ancient tradition of Brick masonry construction of the state has been brought back to the Fenestration of the Frame structure construction. All bricks will be Wire cut Burnt Bricks with Low water absorption capacity.

Focusing on the Stack effect courtyard has been provided which maximizes ventilation throughout the complex.
Compact planning also helps in countering the adverse climate of Delhi.
A residential complex for leaders and Beurocrats of Bihar will house two presidential suits with terrace and greenery views. Segregating common access to VIP and Service access three different cores have been planned for free flow and safe movement inside the building. A barrier-free movement has been also planned through out the complex.
While planning the site landscape provision also has been made for rainwater STP, ETP, and rainwater harvesting. New Bihar Bhawan is a Proposed Residential Complex at Sector-19 Dwarka In New Delhi for the Indian state Bihars VIP Political personalities where accommodation for Two VVIP suits one for Governor and another for Chief Minister, Six VIP suits for its Cabinet ministers, 100 Double rooms for its Leaders, One 30 Person dormitory and 10 single rooms for general guests and security personals.
